Green Body Bags...

In today's lit. circle we discussed the book Sunrise Over Fallujah. In my group, its Taylor, Jessie, Ned, and me. The discussion was great. I wish we had more time because there are so many subjects to touch base about. This book really is changing my outlook on war and the poor decisions our government has made. The one thing I wished our group would have elaberated on was if Bush had not have sent troops to Iraq where do you think we would be today? That is almost a scary thought. After 9/11, people were scared...I dont blame them. But, we should be a strong country and pull together and actually be a UNITED States. Personally, I feel that we could do better with our military operations. Its not that our soldiers are weak, because they arent. Its the fact, that the people who are leading our troops. Why cant there be more organization? Would that stop the death rates of Iraqis and American soldiers? Would Operation Iraqi Freedom actually work the way its suppose to work?

I share your view on having sent troops over being a good thing to have stoped somthing larger from erupting out but i still hate that we had to do so. i also think it would have just been better to bomb them to peices and let them figure out what they where goin to do after on their own with alittle push in the right direction. the way our army has been lead these past few years is amazingly slopy for the strongest army in the world. i cant imagen how we can lose contact with our own troops and not knowing where they are going when we are suppost to be the ones sending them abroad. all and all we could have done a much better job of it.
