“Mooooooo cow!” Moo, a fat kid, caught up in his own lie. What’s the boy to do? The bullies, the cops, the over-comforting parents, and eyes that watch Moo, are the people who RAIN on his parade. In the fiction read, Kissing the Rain by Kevin Brooks, Moo is the fat kid everybody picks on or looks down at. Would they still look down at him if he was confident? Is there a way for someone to find happiness in themselves?
In the book, Moo is a preteen student who gets picked on at school. As all children do, Moo runs to his mother. But, Moo has another place to run…a secret place. This secret place is at the top of a bridge secluded from the real world accept his own. On one certain day, it could’ve been any day of the year, but it HAD to be that one day that changed Moo’s outlook on life. On this day, Moo was kidnapped out of his own little world on top of the bridge and forced into the world of crime, murder, and influential popularity. The more interrogation Moo receives the bigger his story gets…like a old man who on Monday caught a 20 pound catfish then by the time Friday hits that sucker was bigger than my truck!
Unfortunately, this whole universe is full of insecurity and self-consciousness. I have seen, from experience that insecure people have more of a tendency to lie than a person who is confident in themselves and has nothing to hide. For what reason you might ask? Possibly because of the self-consciousness and poor insecurity someone may feel as if they lie, it builds one’s confidence. Sadly, do they know, the bigger a little innocent lie gets, the worse life will get on them... A wise man once me if you lie the shorter your life becomes.

Lieing is wrong. But it seems that in owr world of crazyness that somethings just are not black and white. What if some one told you to lie to the goverment to save the life of your familiy. I know I would with no problem. Weaker people I think some time lie like you said to not show there weakness but by lieing does this just show that they are weaker than the really are?
I lie, he lies, everyone lies. When someone lies, most times its no big deal. Some crazy story bout the weekend that was really the most boring of all time. In his situation i would have just done away with the problem and told the truth. When its something that large, its just better to tell the truth.
