Salem Witch Trials
So what if I am a witch? Are you going to beat me, burn me, and curse me to death? Honestly, why would you kill a witch when there are so many more problems at hand? As I traveled through the journey to be a witch I realized nothing has changed between those times and now. Everyone is still critical, judgmental, and blasphemous. If I stood trial and told the truth I lived...if I stood trial and told them condemors I wasn't a devils advocate I was sentenced to death. I experienced the pain. I could just feel the bitter cold of my cell seeping through my body. I felt the hate and anger from the villiage people as they walked past the jail. I knew death was just around the corner. What hurts most of all I think is the people sentencing me to death are the people who watched me grow and become a woman. Which means my word isn't good enough, not everyone experienced the happenings within the town. And it comes down to me and a few other girls. If we don't die then we shall be looked down upon others for being or not being a witch.
